Kylie Minogue has been nominated for two 2008 Brit Awards, in International Female Solo Artist and International Album.  Kylie has been nominated seven times for a Brit Award.  In 2002 she won the International Album award for Fever.  Nominees for International Female Solo Artist are Alicia Keys, Bjork, Feist, and Rihanna and for International Album are Arcade Fire, Eagles, Foo Fighters, and Kings of Leon.

Kylie Minogue's next single Wow is in full gear on the radio hitting #14 on the UK Airplay Chart.  It also rose on the Official Singles Chart backed soley on downloads, the physical release is not until February.  2 Hearts continues to linger, rising in Spain, Sweden, & Denmark.  In Norway in returned to the charts for its seventh week.

Fly Kylie Minogue's Chart Update is back in 2008 showing good chart positions in Greece rising to all time high with 2 Hearts and X falling from #1 on last weeks International Albums Chart.  Kylie will bring her KylieX2008 tour to Athens in May.  Worldwide Kylie continued to drop, however more television promo is expected as the second single is to be released in February.  She will be on TV in Australia on Jan 14th on Channel 7 on the Sunrise programme.  In addition Wow has started and will continue to hit radio stations in the UK & Australia.  Lastly, X will be released in the US in February and Kylie is expected to visit the US to promote the album as well as picking up an award in Los Angeles for her part in promoting Australia abroad.

Kylie Minogue has been honoured by Queen Elizabeth II in the traditional New Year's list.  Kylie is now an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).  She is being honoured for her contribution to music and brave fight against cancer.  Kylie commented, "I am almost as surprised as I am honoured to be awarded an OBE by Her Majesty The Queen."

The last chart update of 2007, Kylie moves upwards in the UK & Ireland but drops everywhere else.  Some chart's websites were not updated due to the holidays and were not included.  Also to note is Wow climbing in the UK as well as 2 Hearts as X has now sold over 300,000 copies in the UK.

Kylie continues to suprise us in this week's chart with the suprise entrance of Wow into the UK's singles chart at #32 based off downloads alone.  The single will be released officially in February but got attention after her performance on X-Factor.  Her album continues to sell in the UK rising slightly this week and with total chart eligable sales of over 260,000 in the four weeks of being on sale in the UK.  These sales figures do not include exports.  Otherwise the charts were mixed with a continued downward trend.

2 Hearts seems to be the chart success but did not carry the album X this week.  With its 3rd week at number one in Spain, it also enjoyed #1 in Hong Kong & Croatia this week and continued to rise in Switzerland & Norway.  2 Hearts will probably continue to rise in Norway after her appearence at the Nobel Peace Concert in Oslo.  Kylie will now be switching her focus to the next single, performing Wow on X Factor with over 11 million people tuned in from the UK.

White Diamond & Showgirl Homecoming are now out on a Double Disc DVD.  The show was filmed in Melboune, Australia on December 11th 2006, with the documentary being filmed from August 2006 until completition of the tour in January 2007.  The intimate and upclose documentary follows the preperations for the tour and the hickups of touring.

Kylie continues to be on the album and singles charts across the globe though falling in the UK & Australia.  2 Hearts rose in Spain back to #1 and rose in serveral countries including Norway, France, Germany, and Switzerland.  The Album X was a new comer in most countries charting as low as #43 in Canada (where release dates weren't firm but iTunes Download were extremely high) and as high as #1 in Taiwan.  We will see if the album fall or rises next week with more television appearences including the X-Factor in the UK.
